EOTech 517
The EOTech 517.A65 is a relatively new optic by the company intended to optimize their holographic weapon sight technology. In order to allow back up irons or a magnifier to be mounted close up to the back of the sight without impeding the users ability to access the controls, the buttons have been shifted to the side. This allows for much easier and more natural operation than before even without having another accessory mounted behind. Another important feature is the slightly elevated portion of the base at the front of the optic which is meant to allow for mounting above standard hand-guards found on many M-16 or M4 style weapons.
