EOTech 556
The EOTech 556 sports a few of the company's recent improvements to their holographic weapon sights. The most notable of these is the fact that the buttons for the sight that allow you to control brightness and power the unit on and off have been shifted from the rear to the side. This may not sound like a huge deal but if you use or intend to use another optic such as a magnifier (or even closely mounted back up iron sights) this feature makes it much easier and faster to reach the sights controls. Many users have noted that it's a bit more natural to go for the controls on the side even without the problem of the rear panel being blocked. In addition to the shifting of the controls the front end of the EOTech 556 has a raised base to allow for mounting over standard hand-guards often found on M-16 and M-4 style rifles. This optic uses the standard fast aiming reticle with both a 65 MOA circle and a 1 MOA dot. And of course it's as tough as any EOTech and submersible to thirty-three feet.
